Privacy Policy
Last updated April 13, 2026
JDX Software (“we”, “us”) operates EdgeSlip. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've tried to write it in plain English. If anything is unclear, email us at support@jdxsoftware.com.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address, name (if provided), and any other profile details you add through Clerk, our authentication provider. We also store a per-user credit balance for the paid chat tier.
Usage data. We use PostHog to understand how people interact with EdgeSlip — things like which features are used, how often parlays get graded, and anonymous performance metrics. This helps us improve the product. PostHog may also record certain page interactions for debugging purposes.
Parlay input and chat messages. When you use the classic grader or the chat, the parlay text and any chat messages you send are processed server-side to run the analysis and (for chat) to generate a response via Anthropic. We do not store your parlay content or chat history on our servers between sessions. Chat history is stored locally in your browser's localStorage — it stays on your device and never syncs to the cloud.
Payment information. When you buy credits, Stripe handles the payment end-to-end. We never see or store your credit card number, CVV, or bank account. We only receive transaction metadata (amount, status, Stripe transaction ID) needed to credit your account.
Support messages. When you submit a support request, the message content is sent to our support inbox via Resend and retained for as long as needed to respond and maintain customer service records.
Technical data. Like most websites, we automatically collect standard technical information when you visit the Service, including your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and referring page. This data is used for security and operations.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Process payments and manage your credit balance
- Analyze parlays you submit and generate chat responses
- Respond to your support requests
- Understand product usage patterns and improve features
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents
- Send you service-related communications (e.g., receipt emails, important updates) — we do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent
- Comply with legal obligations
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We share limited data with the following providers, each of whom is contractually obligated to protect your information:
- Clerk — authentication and account management. Receives: your email, name, password (hashed), and any profile information you provide. Clerk's privacy policy
- Stripe — payment processing. Receives: billing address, payment method details, transaction amount, and your email for receipts. We never see your full card number. Stripe's privacy policy
- Anthropic (Claude)— chat AI responses. Receives: the chat messages you send and our system prompt. Per Anthropic's commercial terms, API inputs and outputs are not used to train their models. Anthropic's privacy policy
- The Odds API — live sports odds. We send queries for sports data; no personal information is shared. The Odds API privacy policy
- Resend — support email delivery. Receives: support request content, your email address, and your name. Resend's privacy policy
- PostHog — product analytics. Receives: anonymous usage events, device information, and a pseudonymous user ID. PostHog's privacy policy
- Vercel — hosting and infrastructure. Receives: standard web server logs (IP, user agent, request metadata). Vercel's privacy policy
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
4. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies (like localStorage) for:
- Authentication — keeping you signed in via Clerk session cookies
- Analytics — anonymous usage tracking via PostHog
- Chat history — storing your chat conversation locally in your browser
We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from signing in and using core features of the Service.
5. Data Retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., payment records for tax and accounting purposes).
Parlay inputs and chat messages are not retained on our servers — they are processed in real time and discarded once the response is delivered. Chat history that you see in the interface is stored locally in your browser and is not accessible to us.
Support messages and related correspondence are retained for up to 2 years for customer service purposes.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws like the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). These may include:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — request that we fix inaccurate data
- Deletion — request that we delete your data
- Portability — receive your data in a portable format
- Objection — object to certain processing of your data
- Withdrawal of consent — where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@jdxsoftware.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at or intended for use by anyone under 21 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 21, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), server-side secrets management, tamper-proof credit balance storage, and regular dependency updates. However, no system is completely secure. If you become aware of a security issue, please report it to support@jdxsoftware.com.
9. International Users
EdgeSlip is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Service. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when it was most recently revised.
